Welcome!

We’re so glad you’re here.

I’m Tamara Belland, and together with my longtime friend Patsy Rose, we bring heartwarming, memorable music to Retirement Centers and Assisted Living Communities across Eastern Iowa—and beyond. Our performances feature beautiful songs from long ago, blended with uplifting newer tunes your residents are sure to love.

Why Our Music Resonates:

We are drawn to songs that speak clearly to the heart — songs with stories you can follow, melodies you can hum, and emotions you can truly feel. Again and again, residents tell us how this music rekindles precious memories: moments of laughter, tenderness, and connection, sometimes reaching back to childhood itself — a parent’s voice, a familiar melody, the feeling of being safe and loved.

As former/retired nurses, we experience our music as another expression of care. Each program is offered with the same intention that guided our years in healthcare: to bring comfort, warmth, dignity, and moments of genuine human connection. One of our greatest joys is seeing not only residents, but staff members as well, lingering at doorways or pausing between tasks to listen and share in the moment.

We love sharing the stories behind the songs — how they came to be, how they touched the world, and occasionally the lesser-known verses that reveal a fuller picture. These small glimpses of history often spark recognition, conversation, and delight.

In revisiting these melodies, we celebrate not only the music, but the enduring values, emotions, and experiences they carry — reminders of humor, resilience, love, and the simple beauty of being fully present together.

Washington Public Library Performance – December 11, 2025

We had the joy of performing at the Washington, Iowa Public Library on December 11, 2025, and it was truly a wonderful event.

Our song list included:
Scarborough Fair; “Audition” from La La Land; In the Bleak Midwinter; The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting…); It’s a Marshmallow World; The Christmas Waltz; Silver and Gold; Holly Jolly Christmas; Christmas Time Is Here; Toyland; I’ll Be Home for Christmas.

Warm thanks to Allison, the Library’s new Assistant Director, who invited us, and to the many people who came to listen and share the afternoon with us. We were also delighted to see Kay, our friend from nursing school nearly 50 years ago, and Helen, Tamara’s friend from a local church. A fun and thoughtful Q&A followed the concert, making the event feel especially connected and personal.

Music has a beautiful way of bringing people together, and we felt that sense of warmth and community throughout the afternoon.

In addition to performing at Retirement Centers and Assisted Living Communities, we are also available for community events and private gatherings. We love sharing heartwarming music that invites connection, reflection, and joy.
